The official launch of the Chulmleigh-based, DART sponsored emergency response service took place in Chulmleigh on 1st July.

 The Launch was funded and organised by two local pubs The Old Court House and The Red Lion working together.
The new vehicle has been named "Eileen Dolling".  Eileen is the town crier recently retired after over twenty years service.

DART Chairman Phil French said "All our thanks must go to our fire-fighters; without their willingness to do this work we would not and could not be celebrating the launch of this service today". 

The service went live at 3:00pm, i.e. they were available if needed.
