The
Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA)
DDA
gives disabled people rights in the way they receive goods, services or
facilities in employment and other areas of their lives
The
“4” in Open 4 all
1st October
2004 is a
landmark date for disabled people.
From
that date, service providers will have to consider making changes to physical
features that make it difficult for disabled people to use their services
The
Open 4 All campaign
The
Disability Rights Commission (DRC) has launched a Campaign across Britain to
help providers in all sectors understand how to make their services accessible
Pubs,
clubs, gyms, swimming pools, hospitals, restaurants, shops, places of worship and all
other service providers will have to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ to their
premises or the way that they provide their services so that they are not
unreasonably difficult for disabled people to use.
Open 4 All
Mansfield
and Sutton
